International Women’s Day 2026 - Women’s Health in Family Medicine

Women’s Health in Family Medicine

For International Women’s Day 2026, the European branch of the WONCA Working Party on Women and Family Medicine and the EYFDM Special Interest Group in Women’s Health created a video highlighting the importance of women’s health in primary care.

Family doctors play an important role in supporting women’s health throughout the life course, from prevention and early diagnosis to ongoing care and advocacy. This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of colleagues across family medicine to strengthen attention to women’s health and ensure it remains central within primary care.

We thank our colleagues in the Working Party and EYFDM for this contribution and for their continued work to support women’s health in family medicine.
