WONCA Africa Region Conference Report 2024
This document presents the full post-conference report of the 8th WONCA Africa Region Conference,
held from 5–7 June 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya. Organised by the Kenya Association of Family Physicians,
the event brought together over 200 participants from across Africa and beyond.
The conference theme was "Drumming for Change in Africa: Building Resilient Primary Healthcare Systems,
with a Focus on Innovations and Sustainability." It reflected a shared commitment to strengthening
primary care in Africa through collaboration, innovation, and community engagement.
The report captures key moments, insights, and recommendations from the event. It is intended
as a resource for family doctors, policymakers, educators, and healthcare advocates working to
improve health systems across the continent.
