Dermatology Webinar

Dermatology webinar recording now available

The WONCA Special Interest Group on Dermatology has published the recording of its latest webinar, Dermatology Pearls for Primary Care: Lessons from ACD ASM 2026.

The session features Dr Rochelle Oei-Hicks, a first-year Dermatology Trainee, Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and co-founding member of the WONCA SIG on Dermatology. She is interviewed by Dr Anneliese Willems, Co-Chair of the SIG.

In this conversational webinar, Dr Oei-Hicks shares key clinical updates, emerging themes and practical reflections from the Australian College of Dermatologists Annual Scientific Meeting 2026, held in Melbourne. The discussion focuses on issues relevant to family doctors and primary care clinicians, including photo protection, skin of colour, psoriasis, rosacea, contact dermatitis, biologics, immunotherapy, misinformation on social media, and how to support more effective dermatology referrals.

The recording highlights the important role of family doctors in recognising, managing and coordinating care for common and complex skin conditions. It also reflects the SIG’s wider aim of strengthening collaboration between dermatology and primary care, improving education, and supporting more equitable access to dermatologic care, including in rural and underserved communities.

The WONCA SIG on Dermatology brings together family doctors with an interest in skin health, clinical education, research and collaboration. The group is open to interested WONCA members and provides a space to share learning, develop resources and support better dermatology care in primary care settings around the world.
