About the speaker
Dr Jackson Fan is a general practitioner at Bertha Street Medical and Dental Centre in Caboolture, Queensland. He has been practising for 12 years and enjoys teaching medical students, including work as a tutor and examiner. His clinical interests include skin checks, joint injections and geriatric care. He also has extensive urgent care experience, gained during his time working in the UK.
About WONCA SIG Dermatology
WONCA SIG Dermatology is WONCA's newest Special Interest Group, established last year to support family doctors with practical learning in skin health. Since then, it has run online teaching sessions on common skin problems in primary care, contributed learning activities at WONCA regional and young doctor events, and brought members together to strengthen dermoscopy skills. The group is also helping to shape a global consensus statement on the role of primary care in dermatology, linking clinical practice, education and collaboration.
