WONCA webinar series on digital health in primary care

New international webinar series to explore digital health in primary care

WONCA will launch a new international webinar series in 2026, organised by the WONCA Working Party on Digital Health and aimed at supporting family doctors and primary care teams to better understand, adopt and use digital health tools in everyday practice.

Running from April/May 2026 to September 2027, the ten-part series will provide a structured learning space for primary care professionals from all regions. It is designed to support practical learning, share evidence-based experience, and strengthen global connections around digital health in primary care.

Digital technologies are increasingly shaping how care is delivered, recorded and coordinated. This webinar series responds to the need for accessible, relevant education that reflects the realities of primary care settings, including those with limited resources.

Each webinar will focus on a specific theme, ranging from the use of digital tools in daily clinical work to patient-centred care, safety, equity, implementation, and long-term system sustainability. The series will also look ahead, exploring how family medicine can help shape the future of digital primary care.

Sessions will be held every two months and will last between 45 and 60 minutes. Each webinar will include presentations from two expert speakers, followed by a moderated question-and-answer session. Moderation will be led by members of the Working Party’s Executive Board, using a familiar WONCA webinar format.

All webinars will be hosted on official WONCA platforms to ensure global access and compliance with data protection standards. Recordings and learning materials will be made available to WONCA members, supporting ongoing and flexible learning beyond the live sessions.

Sponsorship opportunity

WONCA is currently seeking sponsors to support this international webinar series. Sponsorship will help ensure high-quality delivery, broad access, and the sustainability of digital health education for primary care teams worldwide.
