OECD PaRIS webinar: using patient voices to strengthen people-centred care
The OECD’s Patient-Reported Indicator Surveys (PaRIS) flagship report,
Does Healthcare Deliver?, is one of the strongest sources of
international evidence on how people with chronic conditions experience
primary care. Drawing on the voices of more than 107,000 patients and
over 1,800 primary care practices across 19 countries, PaRIS shows that
more person-centred care is linked with better physical and mental
health, and better wellbeing.
WONCA and family doctors have been closely involved in PaRIS from the
start, helping to design the survey and interpret the findings.
For our global community, PaRIS is a practical advocacy tool, providing
clear evidence to argue for stronger primary care teams, better
coordination, and policies that reflect what matters to patients.
On 2 December 2025, 11:00–12:00 CET, the OECD will host
a webinar,
“Advancing healthcare systems towards people-centred care:
Results from the OECD PaRIS surveys”.
Speakers:
- Stefan Gijssels, Chair, Patient Expert Center
- Dr Viviana Martinez-Bianchi, President, World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA)
- Angel Gonzalez, Health Research Officer, OECD Health Division
The discussion will focus on how patient engagement, care planning,
coordination and digital tools can improve outcomes and experiences,
especially for people living with chronic conditions.
