Our theme of learning from experiences of others will continue in this webinar. Prof Shabir Moosa, WONCA Africa Past President, will share his experience with advocacy at local, provincial, national, and African levels. Dr Mercy Wanjala, Executive Coordinator of AfroPHC, will share her insight into developing policy briefs.
The workshop will be a mix of panel contributions and discussion. We hope the collective expertise in WONCA will provide for a stimulating discussion.
Please put the best slot for your time in the diary now! Hoping to see you on 9th March 2023!
We would love these e-workshops to share attempts at advocacy of family medicine, whether at local, national, regional or global level and whether failed or succeeded, as we feel this is the best source of learning. Please contact either one of the co-chairs if you are willing to share your experience or any other relevant expertise. It would be great if you can email a 250 word abstract, attach related publications or documents and a few questions that would be useful for group discussion. The objective is not just to share stories but to share reflections/learnings that could become general principles for others to become better advocates for family medicine.
