Towards Unity for Health 2027

TUFH 2027, Recife

The Network: Towards Unity for Health (TUFH) is a partner of WONCA and an international, intersectoral movement working to improve health and health equity through community-oriented education, research and service. It is an official non-State actor in official relations with the World Health Organization. Its annual conference brings together academic institutions, health professionals, students and community organisations from around the world.

TUFH 2027 will take place from 14 to 17 September 2027 at the Recife Event Center in Recife, Brazil, in person and virtually. The theme is Health for All: Reimagining Knowledge, Power and Partnership. Health professionals, educators, students and community members from around the world will come together to share what works and build new partnerships.

Call for abstracts

Abstract submission is open. The deadline for all formats (oral presentations, workshops, TUFH Talks and TUFH Documentaries) is 31 March 2027. Abstracts are accepted in English, with a 250-word limit. Workshops are in person only; all other formats can be presented in person or virtually. The subthemes are:

• From Local Partnerships to Global Solidarity: Scaling Social Innovations for Equitable, Responsive, and Resilient Health Systems
• Women’s Health Across the Life Course: Equity, Leadership and Collective Action
• Nothing about us, without us: Partnerships in Health with and for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Autism, and Behavioral Health
• Ageing with Dignity: Building Inclusive Communities for Healthy Longevity
• Students as Changemakers: Leading Together for Health Equity
• Reaching Every Community: Strengthening Rural and Remote Health Through Innovation, Partnership and Place
• Prepared Together: Strengthening Mental Health Resilience Before, During and After Disasters
• Educating the Health Workforce: Building Capacity for Equitable Care

• Virtual deadline: 15 August 2027

Conference rates are adjusted for country income, using the World Bank classifications.
