WONCA's Lisbon Declaration
On July 6, 2014 at the closing ceremony of the WONCA Europe conference in Lisbon, the Lisbon Declaration was signed by WONCA Europe President, Prof Job F M Metsemakers; President of the Portuguese Association of General Practice and Family Medicine, Prof João Sequeira Carlos; and Dr Peter Sloane, incoming President of the Vasco da Gama Movement.

The 67th World Health Assembly took place in the Palais des Nations, Geneva the week beginning 19th May 2014, fittingly also World Family Doctor Day! El reciente Congreso de WONCA Europa en Lisboa marcaba en el calendario la maravillosa cita del 10º aniversario del movimiento Vasco da Gama, la organización de los jóvenes médicos de familia europeos... me encontré reflexionando sobre por qué ese reconocimiento a los médicos debe limitarse exclusivamente a la etapa temprana de sus carreras.

South Asian Primary Care Research Network report
The research methodology workshop was organized by South Asian Primary Care Research Network (SAPCRN) and Department of Family Medicine University of Health Sciences Lahore on February 20-21, 2014. The theme of the conference was Promoting Primary Care Research through Family Doctors.
